I do not think that word means what you think it means.

Now All They Need Is A Decent Theatre

Just got a space age “all new” sparkly newsletter from The Abbey. It’s very pretty. They even have a Bebo page for the upcoming staging of Romeo and Juliet. How 2008 is that. It’s a real pity that visiting the theatre itself is still like walking into 1963, and not in a good way. But we’ll ignore that and move on. They have loads of interesting stuff going on this year – I’m particularly looking forward to seeing “Burial at Thebes” again in the Peacock, even if it is sadly lacking the talents of Ruth Negga this time, as well as Sam Shepard’s “Fool for Love”, also in the Peacock. In the Abbey itself, there is a Brian Friel adaptation of The Three Sisters later in the year.

I might actually think about getting a subscription. Kudos to whoever makes the decisions there these days.
